The column of blown duck egg shells, Precipice, was conceived for an exhibition in Wrexham called Open Market, where participating artists were asked to make an artwork by using materials bought in the Wrexham markets, under the price of £20. The fragility and impossibility of the shells create a special tension, purity and beauty that can’t be mimicked by man made reproduction.
